City Council and Committee Meetings
On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, the City of Portland has scheduled several key public meetings to address economic development and infrastructure policy. The Arts and Economy Committee will convene from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the City Council Chambers. The primary agenda includes a presentation from Councilor Dan Ryan regarding an update on the Storefront Support Program, followed by a public hearing on general arts and economy issues. Public Health Advisory: Measles and Immunizations
Multnomah County health officials issued a new advisory following the confirmation of measles cases in Oregon as of February 9, 2026. Parents and guardians are reminded that the statewide immunization exclusion date is approaching on February 25. By this date, students who are not up to date on their required vaccinations or do not have a valid medical or non-medical exemption will be unable to attend school or childcare. The Health Department is urging families to check records and visit community clinics to ensure compliance before the deadline.
Administrative Notice: Housing Bureau Fund Discovery
City Administrator Raymond Lee III has addressed the recent discovery of over $100 million in unspent and unbudgeted funds within the Portland Housing Bureau. These funds, which include nearly $25 million in Housing Investment sub-funds and $20 million in short-term rental fees, were identified following a transition to the city's new form of government. The City Administrator’s office is currently working with the City Council to reallocate these resources toward active housing and homelessness initiatives. - PBOT: The Portland Bureau of Transportation has officially announced the winners of the 2025-26 Snowplow Naming Contest. New additions to the fleet include "Damian Blizzard" and "A Sleetcar Named Deicer."
- Safety Enforcement: The Oregon Department of Transportation is concluding a statewide seat belt safety campaign. Law enforcement presence remains increased through the week to encourage traveler safety.
