Portland Police Investigate Late-Night Gunfire That Shattered a Church Glass Door on Allen Avenue

Portland police are investigating gunfire reported on Allen Avenue after damage consistent with a projectile strike was discovered at a local church. Officers responded late Thursday night, Feb. 12, 2026, to a shots-fired call in the area of White Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 91 Allen Ave. Police said that when officers initially canvassed the area, they did not locate damage.
On Friday, Feb. 13, police were called back to the church after a shattered glass door was reported. Investigators have said they believe the damage is connected to the shots-fired report from the night before.
Police actions include a high-risk warrant and traffic stops
As the investigation continued, the Portland Police Department’s Special Reaction Team executed a high-risk search warrant on Allen Avenue on Monday, Feb. 16. Police also conducted two high-risk traffic stops that they said were believed to be connected to the incident.
