Nuggets set franchise road scoring mark in 157-103 win over Trail Blazers at Moda Center

Denver’s pace and perimeter accuracy turn Friday night into a one-sided result

The Denver Nuggets opened the post–All-Star break schedule with a 157-103 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at Moda Center. The 157 points were the most the Nuggets have scored in a road game in franchise history, and the margin ballooned steadily across four quarters as Denver produced 41 points in both the first and second periods.

By halftime, Denver led 82-53 after converting 13 of 22 three-point attempts in the first two quarters. The Nuggets maintained the same offensive pressure after intermission, scoring 43 points in the third quarter and extending the lead to as many as 55 points.

Jokić drives efficiency; Denver’s supporting scoring stays intact

Nikola Jokić finished with 32 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in 29:21 of action, reaching 24 points by halftime. Denver also received 25 points from Jamal Murray, with Julian Strawther and Tim Hardaway Jr. adding 19 apiece. Denver’s overall profile combined volume with efficiency: 57% shooting from the field and 21 made threes on 41 attempts.

The Nuggets’ advantage was not limited to shot-making. Denver won the rebounding battle 60-36, collected 13 offensive boards, and recorded 41 assists—numbers that reflected consistent shot creation and second-chance opportunities across multiple lineups.

Portland’s offense struggles to keep pace despite Holiday and Avdija production

For Portland, Jrue Holiday led the scoring with 19 points. Deni Avdija posted 15 points and 13 assists with seven rebounds, but also committed six turnovers as the Blazers were pressured into 18 team turnovers. Portland shot 41% overall and 32% from three (15-of-47), and generated 28 points in the paint compared with Denver’s 54.

  • Quarter-by-quarter: Denver led 41-27 after one, 82-53 at halftime, and 125-85 after three.
  • Three-point gap: Denver 21-of-41 (51%); Portland 15-of-47 (32%).
  • Rebounding gap: Denver 60; Portland 36.

Rotation notes and what comes next

Portland had two rotation players return to the lineup: Matisse Thybulle, appearing for the first time since Oct. 29, and Kris Murray, returning after an absence dating to Jan. 5. Thybulle finished with five points and three steals, while Murray had one point and one rebound.

Final score: Nuggets 157, Trail Blazers 103 (Feb. 20, 2026, Portland).

Both teams continue their schedules on Sunday. Denver returns home to host Golden State, while Portland travels to Phoenix.
